You’ve heard that the essay, or personal statement, is an important component of many schools’ applications. But what should you write about and what are admissions officers looking for when reading? Join us for answers to these questions, as well as tips on beginning and revising your essays.

July 11:
Application Workshop: Activities & Experiences
What you do outside of the classroom is an important part of your story. In this session, we’ll dive into the Activities and Experiences section of the Application Profile. Learn how to complete this section that is required by many Coalition schools and hear from admissions professionals about how they review the information you provide.

Application Workshop: Letters of Recommendation
Letters of recommendation provide a chance for admissions officers to learn how others see you. In this session, learn more about who to ask for a letter, when and how to ask them, and what you might provide to help your teacher, counselor, or other mentor with writing their letter.
