It’s almost time to set application rounds and deadlines in Scoir for the upcoming application cycle.

This gives students and their high school counselors the verified information they need to apply to your institution.

App Rounds should be configured no later than July 31, 2023 so they can be accessed by students beginning August 1, 2023 for the 2023-2024 academic cycle.

Easier maintenance

We’ve made it even easier to maintain application rounds, savings admissions officers much needed effort in a busy season.

Before, deadlines and document requirements for App Rounds were set together.

App Rounds Before

Now, you’ll separately set requirements and deadlines, including indicating the deadline type (Early Decision, Regular Decision, etc.).

App Rounds After

Application Requirements are a set of document types that you require, or wish to receive from students applying to your college
Application Deadline is a deadline that you report for each specific round

Application Requirements are then paired with an Application Deadline to create an Application Round.

For example, if you create a set of Application Requirements for First-Year Applicants, and then an Application Deadline for a Regular Decision deadline, you’ll pair “First-Year Applicants” Application Requirements with your “Regular Decision” deadline to create an Application Round.

Students applying to this round and their supporters will need to supply the documents you set in your “First-Year Applicants” document requirements, and will see your “Regular Decision” deadline associated with the round.

Application Requirements can be created and paired with more than one round at a time, eliminating the need to redo your document selections when creating additional rounds. You can also have different sets of Application Requirements for different rounds.
