• Why do you have these partnerships?

  The goal of Scoir’s partnerships is to help students and their supporters find resources that can support them along their journey to college.

• How does Scoir choose which partners to work with?

  We do our homework and choose our partners carefully. We hand-select partners based on their expertise in their field. Our partners share our mission and values, including our belief that higher education is a wonderful gateway for advancement for students. Scoir and our partners also work hard to support schools and students that are part of a free and reduced lunch program.

• How do you communicate these partnerships to students?

  Students may see communications about Scoir’s partnerships in the following places:

  • Email

  • The Scoir platform

  • Social media

  • Live events

  • Push notifications

  Again, we reiterate that there is no requirement whatsoever to work with or purchase from our partners.

• Does Scoir earn money from these partnerships?

  Scoir will earn a small commission if a purchase is made through a link to one of our partners.

• Are these technological or product partnerships? (Can I access Test Innovators or College Essay Guy in Scoir?)

  No, these partnerships are not technological or product integrations. You can access our partners’ services by purchasing directly from them.

• Is it possible to opt myself or my students out of communications about affiliate partnerships?

  As a network, one of our main goals is to connect students, parents, and guardians to resources that can support them. It is not possible to opt out of all affiliate partner communications from Scoir specifically. Please note that there is no requirement to utilize our partners’ services. Our partners also provide many free resources you and your students can utilize, many of which we share with the Scoir Network.
