For Counselors: Secondary School Report Updates

We’re excited to introduce an improved experience for Secondary School Reports in Scoir! 🚀

Once you’ve configured your School Report Template for rising seniors, counselors can create a Secondary School Report for individual students. Plus, the updates support requirements for schools that opted into the Common App integration for the 2025-26 application year.  🎉

Getting Started with Secondary School Reports

We’ve updated the Secondary School Report to improve the overall configuration and support Common App requirements for integrated schools.

Attachments: Transcripts & Senior Courses

This section may appear differently depending on your school's Common App integration status and School Report template configuration.

If your school is integrated with the Common App:

• This section will appear as Transcripts
• An Initial Transcript is required when creating a Secondary School Report (SSR)
• If transcripts were previously uploaded (in bulk or individually), Scoir will automatically attach them
• You can also upload up to three additional transcripts per student, including transfer transcripts

If your school is not integrated with the Common App:

• This section may appear as Senior Courses, depending on how your template is configured
• Action will be required only if:
  • Your SSR template specifies that senior courses should be provided via the “Attach separate” method, or
  • You selected “Counselor discretion” and, when completing the SSR, indicated that senior courses are not included in the transcript for a particular student
    
    

Creating a Secondary School Report

Ready to create a Secondary School Report? Follow our guide on how to prepare a SSR.

For schools using the Common App integration, we'll automatically generate and send the Common App School Report for any college where a student applies via Common App. For all other application methods, we'll generate and send Scoir’s Secondary School Report, which will continue to display Scoir branding and follow our formatting.
