If your high school enables students & parents/guardians to view Scattergrams or Predictive Chances, you'll see more touchpoints throughout Scoir for easier access to these insights. ๐
As a reminder, each high school uses Scattergrams & Predictive Chances differently, based on their unique policies, and this can impact the amount of data (if any) that you're shown.
If you do see Scattergrams & Predictive Chances, know that both are meant to provide a guidepost to gauge likelihood of acceptance, and are not intended to predict admission results.
Let's dive in!
Scoir provides credible, predictive insights tailored to your high school via Scattergrams and Predictive Chances.
Scattergrams show historical admission decisions using outcomes like GPA and test scores of students who graduated from your high school. While helpful, Scattergrams often pull in fewer data sets from a smaller pool of information.
Predictive Chances goes beyond Scattergrams and uses outcomes from thousands of schools and individuals with similar profiles, so you have more data to validate your findings when choosing where to apply. They also go beyond GPA and test scores to include data like whether the college is in-state or out-of-state.
Plus, you can see round-level and individual predictions for each college, helping you make informed decisions about where to apply and when.
As you discover colleges and view admission insights, be sure to connect with your counselor so they can review the information alongside you and guide on factors not considered in these models, such as course selection or activities outside of the classroom.
If your counselor has enabled you to view Scattergrams, and your school has data populated, you'll now access the information anywhere you see the Scattergram icon!
Scattergrams can be accessed on the college's profile, college match cards, and more! Simply click the Scattergram icon wherever you see it to display the data.
If your high school has enabled Predictive Chances to show alongside Scattergrams, you'll see the Admission Intelligence sparkle icon. Click the icon throughout Scoir to display admission insights.
When jumping in, you'll see Predictive Chances at the top and Scattergrams below, allowing you to view the information in one place.
For the most accurate chances, add personal details by going to your profile. You can even run simulations based on academic profile changes to help set goals. For instance, if you'd like to see if a higher ACT score would increase your chances of getting into the college, simulate those results!
We hope you enjoy these additional touchpoints for Scattergrams & Predictive Chances, making it easier to find and view admission insights!
Feel free to share your thoughts. We're all ears!๐
