What's New in Scoir

2025 Product Recap | Scoir

Written by Valerie Russell | Dec 15, 2025 8:55:26 PM

Over the last year, we continued investing in platform flexibility to ensure Scoir is customizable to your needs and aligns with your unique processes and priorities. We know how important this is because one size doesn’t fit all, and what works for some schools may not work for others.

That’s why, when we released your most requested feature—the Scoir + Common App Integration—we put the choice in your hands about whether your school leveraged the integration or not.

When we launched Scoir AI 2.0, we didn’t just make it smarter. We kept you in control of how you wanted to surface admission predictions with students.

This level of flexibility wouldn’t be possible without your feedback, and we can’t thank you enough for all you’ve shared with us throughout the year 💙 Know that our team looks at every piece of feedback to help us influence what we build and how we can help solve your challenges through Scoir.

Now, let’s quickly recap how we enhanced the experience in 2025:

What's New

For Counselors

Expanded Reporting with More Table Views Across Scoir

Views are a powerful way to access specific information for custom reporting, and they come in a format that’s easy to digest. With such positive counselor feedback on table views, we added more across the platform in 2025!

Last spring, we combined the Students and Info tabs on College Profiles to create a single page with a table layout so it’s easier for you to track student engagement. With this view, you’ll see all students (current and alumni) that have engaged with that particular college, their academic and application details, and predictive chances. Plus, you can Filter more data, manage Columns, and Export views. Learn more >

When heading over to Applications, we refreshed the Overview page with a table view as well, helping support you with information when making year end updates to applications and outcomes. Learn more

For Students & Families

Less Clutter with Refreshed Student & Parent Dashboards

Over the summer, we updated the Student and Parent Dashboards on web and mobile, reducing clutter and simplifying the layout to create a more focused, actionable experience. Assignments are front and center, so students and parents always know what they need to do next.

Plus, the streamlined right column surfaces key updates. Students see college messages, upcoming deadlines, and events they can register for. While parents see college messages and a snapshot of their student’s college list. Learn more >

For Counselors & Students

A More Scalable Application Process with Scoir + Common App Integration

One of our most impactful releases in 2025 was the Scoir + Common App Integration. As a whole, the integration reduces steps for students and allows counselors to monitor application submissions and send all supporting materials to Common App directly through Scoir.

When connecting accounts, students’ My Colleges lists sync automatically with their Common App activity, so you can see where they’ve applied right in Scoir. You and your students request and manage teacher recommendations in Scoir, and all application documents are sent from Scoir, routed through Common App, and delivered to colleges in a standard format, reducing errors and ensuring timely delivery.

For those interested in learning more about leveraging the Common App Integration for the 2026-27 school year, stay tuned! We’ll share more details in January to help with your decision.

For Counselors

Better Organized and Standardized Counselor Templates & Forms

Whether your school leveraged the Common App integration, or you made the decision to opt out this school year, you saw updates to many counselor templates and forms, as well as teacher recommendations.

These updates not only supported requirements for schools that opted into the Common App integration, but they enhanced the experience by introducing a modern and more organized way to collect information. Now, our templates and forms are better aligned with the standardized forms colleges are used to getting.

For Counselors

Enhanced Admission Predictions with Scoir AI 2.0

If you’re new to Admission Intelligence (or as we call it—Scoir AI), we launched it in 2024 to help students make more informed decisions and build balanced college lists. Within Scoir, it shows a student’s chances of acceptance based on real data. And, we continue to make enhancements.

In January, we launched Scoir AI 2.0 with smarter, simpler Intelligent Match to quickly evaluate balanced lists, customizable Acceptance Likelihood ranges, more flexible Balanced List Scoring, and other enhancements. Learn more >

In August, we updated Scoir AI to align even more with how admissions decisions are made. This allowed for more context-awareness when showing acceptance predictions to ensure insights reflect current admission practices, residency factors, and high school and college relationships. Learn more

We also made updates to the Admission Intelligence settings so they’re easier to understand and set up. Whether you’re adjusting visibility or configuring timing for AI features like Balanced Lists or Predictive Chances, you’ll find fewer steps and clearer options. Learn more >

💡 Across the board, in every acceptance category and prediction range, actual acceptance rates closely match the predictions made by Admission Intelligence. Since Scoir’s Admission Intelligence has proven to be highly accurate, we encourage you to configure your settings in a way that you and your students can benefit from it!

Beta Participation for the Upcoming Scoir-Created Plans

Our upcoming release, Scoir-Created Plans, will provide you with ready-to-use, customizable Plans—each one packed with Tasks and Forms designed to guide students through key milestones, all aligned with our ASCA-compliant curriculum.

In November, we invited 84 participating schools and networks to access these plans and upcoming features. Over the past few months and into the new year, we’re gathering feedback from participants—not only on the new functionality built to support prebuilt Plans, but also on the Plans’ content themselves.

After we’ve finished gathering feedback and building these Plans, we’ll release them to everyone in the first half of the new year. 🎉

Thank you for being such an important part of another great year with Scoir! 💙 As always, please don’t hesitate to share your thoughts. We’re listening, and your voice plays a meaningful role in where Scoir goes next.
