Scoir's New Product Integration Explained

Coming July 2022

I'm thrilled to announce an exciting update about the future of the company.

Starting July 2022, Scoir will enable students to apply to Coalition Colleges through a new product integration with Slate.

In answer to what can be a confusing, cumbersome, and often discouraging application process, we're simplifying the college application experience through a technology integration with Slate by Technolutions that will have a special focus on assisting underserved students.

How the integration will work

In support of this new integration, Coalition for College will discontinue its standalone application portal. Instead, students will be able to apply to Coalition member institutions through Scoir.

From the moment a student begins completing their profile in Scoir, they're making progress on their college applications, should they choose to submit come senior year.

As students move through each class year, Scoir will prompt them to update their profile information further. Once it's time to apply to college, that information will automatically populate into an institution's application via the integration with Slate, reducing the amount of time and stress it takes to enter the same information twice.

By automating much of the application through a jointly-developed product integration between Scoir and Slate, students using Scoir will be better able to focus on what matters most: discovering colleges that best fit their academic, social, and financial needs.

Why we're working with Technolutions and Coalition for College

Together, we’ll affect a broader collective impact than we can on our own. Each organization will focus on what it does best:

  • Slate by Technolutions acts as the backbone of admission operations for more than 1,500 institutions across the country as they manage enrollment
  • Coalition for College membership ensures that colleges demonstrate a proven commitment to access, affordability, and student success by graduating students on time with low or no college debt, including historically under-represented students
  • Scoir builds intuitive student-centric software that solves complex workflows for students, parents, high schools, and colleges to help alleviate the stress and anxiety of the admission process
