We’re excited to introduce the ability for students to opt in and share their interest with colleges they follow on Scoir 🚀
Over the years, we’ve received considerable feedback from students (and counselors) who’ve been looking for a clearer, more intentional way to express interest in colleges they’re exploring. Now, students can choose to share basic contact information with colleges—opening the door to earlier, more relevant connections and supporting more informed college decisions.
Let's dive in!
When a student follows a college on Scoir, a new modal appears allowing them to opt in and share their interest. If a student chooses to share, they’ll be asked to provide Name, Email, and Date of Birth. Optionally, they can include their phone number and academic interest.
Students must opt in to share their information—either with individual colleges or with all colleges on their list. They can select Not Now if they don’t want to share interest.
Students can see and manage whether they’ve shared interest with a college at any time from their My Colleges list. And, they’ll access a Share Interest button where they can also set preferences.
Watch a quick walkthrough of the experience to learn more about how to share interest with colleges and manage your preferences.
Please note, for the 2025-26 academic year, this feature is only available for sophomores and juniors.
As always, please let us know your thoughts! We're all earsđź‘‚
